Assessment Services at SPELD

SPELD Qld offers Standardised Academic Assessments and a Dyslexia Screening Test at the SPELD Office on Fridays, by appointment.

The Wechsler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT II) and other standardised tests are used to test the levels of a student’s Literacy and Numeracy.

The Dyslexia Screening Test presents the student with a battery of short tests which are analysed and give the student an overall ‘at risk’ of dyslexia score.

The assessment takes approximately three hours to complete and a parent is requested to be present during the session for younger students or able to be contacted in case of older students.

Parents will receive a written report with recommendations and are welcome to contact SPELD to discuss the details.

The cost to members for this assessment service is $AU550.00 Including GST in 2011.

Payment by cash, cheque or credit card (Visa® and Mastercard®) is requested at the time of the assessment.

Please contact Jan Hughes at the SPELD Office on a Wednesday or Thursday for more details or to arrange an appointment, or email education@speld.org.au.
