This one hour information session will look at  how you can transform your child’s learning experience by utilizing all that the apple iPad has to offer. Students with Learning Differences often require a multi-sensory approach to learning - the iPad delivers an interactive and engaging platform for struggling learners. Throughout the hour we will explore how to activate student friendly settings, the use of text-to-speech, simplifying web pages, Dyslexia Quest and

using the apps Audionote and Typo HD to plan and complete writing tasks.

Presenter:  Emily Thompson is the Assistive Technology assistant at Speld Qld. She has a great passion for technology and it’s power to unlock hidden potential in students with Learning Differences. Emily regularly has 1-1 Assistive Technology sessions with students and families as well as running 6 week iPad classes for students within schools and at the Speld office.
